Registration Since the of Fall 2013, the Eugene District has used the on-line registration software called Leggiero. Old forms are no longer accepted. Go to online registration on the OMTA website to access Leggiero. In Leggiero you first create an account, then you can request time and fully register your students.
Type Adjudicated examination. Eligible for 1 trophy point.
Fee See Syllabus Fees on the OMTA website for details.Send a printed invoice from Leggiero and any special requests with one check to the District Chair. Checks should be postmarked no later than the day following registration.
Repertoire Music of the Baroque, Classical, Romantic, Impressionistic and Contemporary eras. Program of study is designed to match repertoire with musicianship skills. All syllabus repertoire must match the syllabus level except that one piece can be one level lower. For questions on repertoire level please contact Carol Ratzlaf, NCTM 503-287-6322 or Heidi Evans, NCTM 503-885-8168. Method book pieces and transcriptions are not permitted. Current repertoire lists and the 2014 Syllabus Manual are available in “members” link on OMTA website and complimentary to all OMTA members. Description OMTA Syllabus is a suggested course of study made available to each member to use as a guide in teaching. It covers theory, technique, sight-reading and ear training, as well as repertoire. A qualified adjudicator evaluates the student’s presentation of the requirements and provides written comments. Certificates are awarded to participating students. Syllabi have been written for piano, organ, voice, strings, woodwinds, guitar and jazz piano.General information:

  1. All syllabus registration is online using Leggiero.
  2. All teachers must schedule a conference for every Syllabus in which they participate.
  3. Dates and adjudicators are assigned by the State Chair and State Scheduling Chair. We are obliged to fill these assigned days according to adjudicator availability.
  4. When requesting days and times, please consider weekdays and Sunday mornings.
  5. If we can use your studio, and your students fill fewer than 7 hours, we ask that you host other students.

Memorization Depends on type of examination: Evaluation, Demonstration or Audition. See OMTA Syllabus Manual for requirements. A new manual is in effect for Spring 2017. Download a copy from the OMTA website.
